Sea Walking is a very popular thrilling water sports adventure mostly performed by the tourists who used to visit Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The only thing handed over to you is a helmet potentially covering your head & keeping it dry as well as you are tied with a boat supplying you oxygen during your encounters under marine life.

It’s not necessary to know how to swim while you are about to perform this activity but supporting scuba divers are sent along with you for your assistance, the only thing sea walkers have to do is keep stretching their legs forward at the sea bed.

Places to Choose for Sea Walking

There are only two known places where sea walking is performed in A & N Islands which are :

• Elephant Beach, Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) : A best choice as it is one of the popular beaches with diverse marine life & easily accessible corals beneath the sea.
• North Bay Island : Second most popular location in Andaman, giving vibrant views to marine life.

Safety & Precautions :

• Age Limit : Childrens below the age of 9 & elders above the age of 60 are not allowed to perform sea walking.
• Medical Conditions : If there is a patient suffering from any of the following diseases he / she/ they would be prohibited due medical issues. These diseases are : asthma, heart problems & pregnancy.
• Safety Equipment : In terms of safety equipment candidates get only a helmet which is transparent & a hose which is connected to an oxygen cylinder allowing you to breathe deep inside.
• Guards : For your safety trained guards are provided to accompany you & guide you through the entire journey.
