78th Independence Day Celebrated in the A & N Islands
Flag Hoisting Ceremony
The day began with a big flag-raising ceremony at the Netaji Stadium in Port Blair, which was attended by Central dignitaries, officials, and residents. Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd), raised the flag, which was followed by a procession of police officers and schoolchildren.
